Dushanbe. 2 September. “Asia Plus” — According to Turkish media, Ozturk Yilmaz is going to nominate his candidacy in the upcoming elections in the Turkish parliament, which will be held on November 1 this year.
It is expected that Yilmaz will nominate his candidacy from the Republican People”s Party of Turkey from Ardahan city in the north-eastern of Turkey.
Recall, that on August 28, 2015, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov received copies of credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey in Tajikistan Ozturk Yilmaz. After the ceremony of presenting the credentials the parties have talked about the current situation and prospects of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Turkey in the field of economy, trade, investment, technology, culture and education. Sirodjidin Aslov expressed the hope that the new Ambassador of Turkey will contribute to the further strengthening and development of bilateral relations.
Ambassador Ozturk Yilmaz has also stressed the importance for his country to strengthen partnerships with Tajikistan and assured that he would make every effort to address all the pressing issues and the further expansion and deepening of cooperation based on the principles of friendship and mutual understanding.
Newly appointed Turkish Ambassador in Dushanbe had not yet handed his credentials to the President of Tajikistan.
In June 2014 Yilmaz was held hostage by the ISIL in the Iraqi city Mosul. Then the gunmen seized 48 employees of the Turkish consulate and held them hostage for 101 days.
