Dushanbe. 2 September. “Asia Plus” — The new school in the Metc village of Ganchi district of Sugd region was put into operation.
According to the press service of the Head region, Chairman of Sugd region Abdurahmon Kodiri took part in the official opening of this modern educational institution.
The Head of the region have congratulated the students and teachers” staff on the Knowledge Day and with the beginning of the new school year and said that the president of the republic and the government pay special attention to the education sector. Proof of this is the fact that if in the past year on the development of Sogd education were allocated 522 million somoni, than in the current year the funding increased of up to 595.9 million somoni.
Addressing the students, Abdurahmon Kodiri noted the need to pay special attention to the study of foreign languages and modern technology. The Head of the region called the students, especially girls, in school years to master any profession or craft that will help the family in the future.
It should be noted that in the Metc village of Ganchi district, where live to 4.5 thousand of the population, to date there was only one school №27. In the school studied 856 children and some of the students, living on the outskirts of the village, especially in the winter, hardly get to school, overcoming a long distance.
