Another 14 members of Khoji Halim`s armed group were detained

Dushanbe. 7 September. “Asia Plus” — The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan reports about the detention of another 14 members of armed group of former Deputy Defense Minister RT Abduhalim Nazarzoda (Khoji Halim). Thus, according to official information, these persons were detained during an armed clash with the Interior Ministry groups and the State Committee of National Security in Ramit Gorge. At the scene were confiscated 6 Kalashnikovs, two Kalashnikov machines gun, 1 DSR, 1 RPG-7V and a large number of ammunition.

MIA and National Security Committee thank people for close cooperation in eradication of organized crime groups led by Abduhalim Nazarzoda. Also, the Interior Ministry said that those who have discovered military weapons and voluntarily surrender to the authorities will be fully exonerated.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan does not comment the accusations against the officers. The Interior Ministry, despite the fact that at the moment detained about 20 members of the group, still has not named the motives that drove the attackers and their purpose.

Recall that on September 4 at 4:28, Khoji Halim`s group carried out an armed attack on DMIA inVahdat and, using his official position, misled the central apparatus of the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan, in the result a group of Khoji Halim has appropriated a large number of weapons and ammunition. Younger brother of Nazarzoda has surrendered to authorities. Nazarzoda himself is hiding in the mountains of Ramit Gorge.
