Sheikhs from UAE fund construction of orphanage in Danghara

KULOB, March 29, Asia-Plus  — The construction of a boarding school for orphaned children officially commenced in Khatlon’s Danghara district on March 28.  

The boarding school, which will be the house for 400 orphaned children, will have a status of the republican facility and known sheikh family from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) funds construction of this orphanage.  

            Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the boarding school, Sheikh Rashid al-Din Khalifa Arif Zauni (phonetically spelled) expressed gratitude to the Tajik heads of state and government for an opportunity to do a charitable work – to help children left without paternal cordiality. 

            According to him, the orphanage is planned to be finished in 14 or 18 months.
