Government session reviews the results of the first quarter’s work

DUSHANBE, April 21, 2016, Asia-Plus – Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda yesterday held a meeting to review the results of work carried out over the first three months of this year.

An official source in the Tajik government says the meeting heard reports on the current situation in financial, agrarian, industrial, transport and social sectors.

Over the report period, Tajikistan’s gross domestic product has reportedly stood at 9.3 billion somoni and its real growth has amounted to 6.5 percent.

Over the same three-month period, Tajikistan has reportedly produced 2.9 billion somoni worth of industrial and agricultural goods.

Tajikistan has reached 94.4 percent of the national budget for January-March, 2016, according to the source.

The meeting also discussed issues related to preparations to ensure the regular work of the country”s economy during autumn-winter 2016-2017.
