DUSHANBE, February 27, Asia-Plus  — An international conference formally titled “Tajik Language and Information Technologies” will be held in the Tajik capital on May 28-29, Asia-Plus has learned at the terminology committee within Tajikistan’s Academy of Sciences.   

The conference has been staged by the Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture (MoC) and the Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting.  

A source at the terminology committee said that the conference aims to discuss adaptation of international technologies, including software application to the Tajik language.  

The conference will be held in the following sections: “Tajik (Persian) Language and Internet”; “Computer Lexicography”; “Computer Linguistics”; “Systems of electronic Exchange of Information in the Tajik Language”; “Systems of Electronic Education”; “Rudaki Studies and Internet”; “Localization of Software Product” and etc.    

According to the terminology committee, the Academy of Sciences has also announced the competition “The Best Internet Page” dedicated to the founder of Tajik-Persian classic literature Abu Abdullo Rudaki.
