DUSHANBE, February 22, Asia-Plus — A two-day meeting of chiefs of staffs of border troops of the CIS states will open in Dushanbe on February 25, Asia-Plus has learned at the main border directorate of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
The source at a GKNB said that the meeting aims to consider issues related to expansion of cooperation between the CIS states’ border services in strengthening border protection measures, fighting terrorism, drug trafficking, illegal migration and trafficking in persons.
The meeting participants will also discuss plans of cooperation for this year.
