The government of Uzbekistan has increased the rate of an additional fee for entry and transit of cargo vehicles and buses from Tajikistan to 52.5%.

"From the 1st of  September, 2016, freight vehicles and buses of Tajikistan crossing the state border of Uzbekistan from its side will pay an additional fee for entry and transit through the territory of our Republic in the amount of $180," – reports the Uzbek media with reference to the decree of the government of Uzbekistan.

Note that currently additional fee for vehicles operating from Tajikistan amounted to $ 118.

Recall that the last time Uzbekistan has increased the tax rates for the entry and transit cargo vehicles and buses from Tajikistan in July 2011 from 103 up to 118 dollars.

Meanwhile, the rates of fees for entry and transit of foreign freight vehicles and buses crossing the border between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan remain the same – $ 265.

Also remain unchanged transit fees for Turkish vehicles going to Tajikistan: cargo vehicles carrying up to 10 tons and buses with less than 12 seats – $ 35, trucks with lifting capacity of 10 tons and buses over 12 seats and above – $ 55.
