Servicemen of Riot Squad of the Ministry of Internal Affairs did not receive any SMS messages with threats from their former commander Gulmurod Halimov.

As it was reported in the Riot Squad of the MIA of the RT, none of the former colleagues of the fluent ex-commander of Riot Squad has received any threatening SMS. "Neither the leadership nor the soldiers of our squad have not received such messages", – assured in the leadership of the detachment of special police of the Interior Ministry of Tajikistan.

Recall that on September 6, Reuters reported that Halimov sent threats to mobile phones of Tajik soldiers. All SMS were signed by Halimov.

Reuters reports that this fact was confirmed to the correspondent by two sources in the security agencies. Also, in the Reuters report said that security services of Tajikistan have begun investigation on this fact.

Gulmurod Halimov went missing in the end of April 2014 and a month later appeared in Syria. In his video message, which he posted in the Internet, he said that he joined the group "Islamic state". Authorities immediately accused the fugitive Colonel of treason and declared him wanted through Interpol.

The General Prosecutor's office opened a criminal case against former commander of the riot police on three counts – 305 (Treason), 187 part 2 (Participation in a criminal group) and 401 (Participation in hostilities abroad) of the criminal code.

Halimov was born in Varzob district in 1975. During the civil war in Tajikistan has served in the presidential guard. Since 1997 began to serve in the riot police as a private soldier, repeatedly got the state awards, was promoted to the rank of Colonel. He graduated from the Higher Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan. Participated in operations against armed groups in Rasht valley in 2009 and in Khorog in 2012.
