DUSHANBE, January 28, Asia-Plus  – Colonel Haybullo Latipov who was appointed to head the Committee for Emergency Situations (CES) will be introduced to committee’s staffers today.

The source at a CES said that Latipov has worked with Tajikistan’s emergency management agency for many than ten years.  Before 2007, he had served as deputy head of the CES chief staff and last year he was appointed to head the CES directorate for Dushanbe.

We will recall that Mahmadtohir Zokirov, formerly head of the Committee for Emergency Situations, was appointed to head the Agency for Land Management, Geodesy and Cartography.  

The Committee for Emergency Situations is planned to give a press conference on the results of work carried out in 2007 tomorrow.
