By government’s decree Umed Latifov has been relieved of his post of Deputy Minister of Finance.
Recall, Latifov was appointed Deputy Minister of Finance on July 11, 2016, replacing Shavkat Sohibov.
Prior to becoming deputy finance minister Umed Latifov had served as deputy head of the National Bank of Tajikistan since May 13, 2015.
According to his bio data, Umed Latifov (born on October 2, 1977) graduated from Arizona State University (USA) in 2001 and he finished a master's degree in financial management at Stanford University (USA) in 2008.
From 2010 to 2014, Latifov was Director of the Investment Company “Innovation Endeavors" in the United States; from 2008 to 2010, he was Business Development Director for Central Europe and America, CNH Capital (USA); in 2007, Latifov was reportedly investor, Pacific Alternative Asset Management Company, and in 2001-2006, he was Director for Business Development in South and Central Asia (USA).
