Turkey has drawn up a ‘blacklist’ of persons banned from entering the country because of having contacts with terrorist organizations.  The list includes nearly 54,000 nationals of 146 countries of the world.

2,651 Tajik nationals have reportedly been placed on this list.  Henceforth, they are banned from entering Turkey.

The Interior Ministry of Turkey says the list includes persons suspected of collaborating with terrorist organizations and those who traveled to the zones of armed conflicts in Syria.

Besides, 1,914 citizens of Kazakhstan and 4,128 citizens of the Russian Federation are on this list.

Saudi Arabia tops the list; 7,523 nationals of this country have been placed on Turkey’s ban list.

France leads the European countries in terms of the number of citizens placed on that list.  2,622 nationals of France have been placed on Turkey’s ‘blacklist’.

Meanwhile, Radio Liberty’s Tajik Service reports that Turkey’s migration service has extradited 308 Tajik nationals to Tajikistan this year so far.  They were detained at the border with Syria.  All of them were reportedly attempting to join extremist groups.
