Russia’s Federal Customs Service to open its office in Dushanbe

Prospects of further expansion of cooperation between the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan and the Federal Customs Service of the Russia Federation were discussed here on October 4 at a meeting of Abdufattoh Ghoib, the head of the Tajik Customs, with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Bulavin, according to the Tajik Customs Service press center.

The sides reportedly discussed the results of joint work to create technical channels of communications for exchange of statistical data.    

They also exchanged views on the current issues of interaction and discussed priorities of further expansion of bilateral cooperation. 

Ghoib and Bulavin signed a protocol on mutual recognition of findings of customs control of certain types of goods, the press center said.  

The Federal Customs Service of Russia (FCS) is a Russian government service regulating customs.  It now operates under directly authority of the Government of Russia.  Until 2006, the Federal Customs Service of Russia was under the responsibility of the Ministry for Economic Development.
