A Tajik-Uzbek business forum that took place in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, Wednesday (October 11) on the sidelines of an exhibition of Tajik industrial goods has resulted in signing of more than twenty contracts and six memoranda of under understanding (MoUs), according to Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).
Thus, Tajik and Uzbek Chambers of Commerce and Industry signed an agreement on the establishment of the Tajikistan-Uzbekistan Business Council.
Tajik Isfara-based canning factory named after Hasanov and Uzbek Kvarts Company signed an agreement of intent to conclude a contact on supply of agricultural goods.
Tajikistan’s Gayur Limited Liability Company and Uzbekistan’s NOVA Company signed a contract on delivery of building materials.
Tajik Elegant Company and Uzbekistan’s Navinterkomlyuks signed an agreement of intent to collaborate on development of basalt technologies and further ruse of basalt substances in hothouse market-gardening and other economic sectors.
Besides, Tajik Khujand-based KEDR LLC and Uzbekistan’s Joint-Stock Company (JSC) UZTRADE signed a cooperation agreement.
Twenty-four enterprises with participation of Tajik capital now operate in Uzbekistan, including one company with a 100-percent Tajik capital.
Meanwhile, nine joint Tajik-Uzbek ventures now operate in Tajikistan.
According to the data from the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan, a two-trade between the two countries over the first nine months of this year has been estimated at 178.2 million U.S. dollars.
