DUSHANBE, November 26, Asia-Plus  — Visiting Metropolitan of Tashkent and Central Asia Vladimir yesterday attended a ceremony of opening of  chapel at presidio of Russian Military Base 201 in Dushanbe.   

The source at the Russian military base headquarters said that the Dushanbe St. Nicolas Cathedral Dean Sergius held a service of prayers at the chapel in the presence of Metropolitan Vladimir.   

 The chapel was build due to donations of servicemen and private sponsors, the source said.   

As it had been reported earlier, Metropolitan Vladimir is making pastoral tour of the Orthodox churches in Tajikistan.  Six Orthodox churches now function in Tajikistan.

Today, Metropolitan Vladimir will leave for Tashkent.
