Deputy prime minister criticizes Sughd authorities for poor preparations for winter

Date:

Deputy Prime Minister, Azim Ibrohim, has sharply criticized inadequate measures taken by Sughd local authorities to ensure regular work of the province’s economy during autumn-winter 2017-2018, a source in the Tajik government told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to him, Ibrohim’s criticism, directed at local commissions on preparations for winter, came during an address to a meeting of the republican commission on preparation of the Sughd cities and districts for winter in Khujand, the capital of the Sughd province.

The deputy prime minister, in particular, pointed to the region’s failure to stockpile enough fodders for the upcoming winter, the source said.

Ibrohim reportedly also noted that not all high schools in the province had been provided with coals so far.
