Mosque is place of worship but not political discussions, says President Rahmon

DUSHANBE, November 16, Asia-Plus  — A mosque is place of worship but not political discussions, President Emomali Rahmon remarked at a meeting with clerics of the Sughd province at the Sheikh Muslihiddin Mosque in Khujand on November 15.

According to presidential press service, the president recommended clerics to refrain from placing charity boxes at mosques, “because the collected funds, as a rule, do not reach targets.”
