Dushanbe mayor’s office provides lump-sum aid to war veterans on the occasion of the national holiday

The Dushanbe mayor’s office has allocated 4,895,300 somoni to provide lump-sum aid to war veterans and persons of equivalent status as well as employees of housing and communal facilities on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence.

Veterans of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and the spouses of the servicemen who died in that war will receive the lump-sum aid of 900 somoni each, an official source at the Dushanbe mayor’s office told Asia-Plus in an interview.  

Veterans of the Soviet-Afghan war, Leningrad siege survivors and Chernobyl liquidators will receive the lump-sum aid of 500 somoni each.

Meanwhile, 4,650 street cleaners will receive the lump-sum aid of 1,000 somoni each on the occasion of the country’s national holiday.
