Kazakhstan’s Alina to build plant on producing construction dry packs in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, September 21, Asia-Plus — Kazakhstan’s holding Alina intends to build a plant on producing construction dry packs in Tajikistan, Asia-plus has learned at the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI).    

The source at a MoEI said that Alina-Holding had applied to the ministry, proposing to construct the plant at the deposit of marble and gypsum.  The Kazakh side is ready to invest some 20 million euros in this project, according to the source.  

“Besides, the company has also assumed development of local infrastructure,” the source said, adding that if built, the plant will create 400 new jobs.  

Senior representatives from the MoEI and Alina-Holding will discuss all issues related to the proposal to build the plant and place for it in Dushanbe within the next few days.  

Founded in 1991, Alina-Holding now is one of largest producers of the dry pack AlinEX and the construction gypsum G-Ex in Kazakhstan.  The company has its branches throughout Kazakhstan, as well as in Novosibirsk (Russia), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) and Dushanbe.
