A young woman from Shahritous district in Khatlon province has killed 50-year-old woman and wounded her two daughters following quarrel over cutting trees in disputed area between their houses.
The tragedy took place in the village of Sultonobod in the evening of June 8, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.
The 50-year-old woman together with her two daughters came to the home of their 29-year-old neighbor to know the reason for cutting trees growing in the areas between their houses.
Following the quarrel that occurred between them, the 29-year-old woman reportedly inflicted several stab wounds on the 50-year-old woman and her two daughters.
The woman died of wounds she sustained.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the attacker under the provisions of two articles of Tajikistan’s Penal Code: Article 32 – preparation for crime or attempted crime; and Article 104 – murder; an investigation is under way.
