Kabir Kabirov, the son of Sultoni Kabir marker owner Avazkhon Kabirov, has got a lengthy jail term for a fatal traffic accident.

A court in Dushanbe’s Ismoli Somoni district sentenced Kabir Kabirov to 8 ½ years in prison last week.  The sentence followed his conviction on charges of traffic offence causing death of two and more persons (Article 212 (3) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code).   

The 19-year-old son of owner of Dushanbe’s Sultoni Kabir market has been detained over fatal traffic accident.

Recall, Kabir Kabirov was detained in the morning of March 24.  Two persons were killed and two others injured on March 23 as a car backed into a pole.

The accident took place in the night.  Kabir Kabirov lost control of his Lexus 450 and crashed into a pole in the downtown Dushanbe.

As a result of the accident, two his passengers – Saidjaffar Saidov, 19, and Nekzod Sahobiddinov, 19 – were killed and one more passenger – Saidvali Ubaidulloyev – sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital. 

Kabirov himself also sustained injuries.  He left the hospital on the next day, March 24.
