DUSHANBE, July 3, Asia-Plus — On Monday July 2, Tajikistan’s Drug Control Agency (DCA) Director, Major-General Rustam Nazarov, received senior representatives from the Kyrgyz counternarcotics agency. 

According to the DCA press service, in the curse of the talks the Tajik drug control chief briefed Kyrgyz colleagues on the present drug situation in Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and the region as a whole.

Nazarov acquainted Kyrgyz guests with measures taken by Tajikistan’s authorities to prevent drug trafficking as well as the results yielded by Tajik counternarcotics agency in the fight against drug trafficking.  

The Tajik drug control kingpin also proposed to consider the possibility of opening of local office of the Tajik DCA in Bishkek.
