DUSHANBE, June 2, Asia-Plus — On May 31, at the eve of International Children’s Day, Tajik Branch of Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation (OSI/AF) conducted an action to support orphan children, children with disabilities and children from vulnerable families in various regions of the country.  

According to the head office of the OSI/AF Tajik Branch in Dushanbe, they handed over 100-liter water heaters to a number of facilities, including an orphanage in the Shahrinav district, children’s hospital in Khujand, and orphanage in Shurob.  

Besides, water heaters were also handed over to special boarding school for hard-of-hearing children in the Bobojonghafurov district, boarding school # 40 in Konibodom, and boarding school for children with intellectual disabilities in Khujand.  

The OSI/AF Tajik Branch organizes international, regional, and national activities on regional cooperation, legal and electoral reform, women’s and human rights, immigration, education, health care, access to information, and economic development.
