DUSHANBE, May 24, Asia-Plus – Operational Border Group of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) in Tajikistan has donated a special electronic equipment for practice shoot “Skat” to Tajikistan’s Higher Border Officers’ Training School in Dushanbe.

The equipment-handover ceremony was held in the border officers’ training school yesterday.  The donation was made on occasion of a Border Guard Day, which is marked in Tajikistan and Russia on May 28. 

The Russian Operational Group chief Colonel Vasily Vasilyev, Tajik Border Troops Directorate Chief Staff head Major-General Sharaf Abdulloyev and the Tajik Higher Border Officers’ Training School head Tohir Tilloyev attended the ceremony.    

Under the bilateral agreement that was signed on October 16, 2004, the Operational Border Group of the Federal Security Service currently stays in Tajikistan to perform advisory functions, provide assistance to Tajik border guards in the effective border patrolling and training of the young generation of border guards.
