DUSHANBE, February 6, Asia-Plus – Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev has passed a resolution on providing 3,500 somonis in prize money to the winners of open contests for the best projects on a festive decoration of the Tajik capital during the Navrouz holidays (March 21-22), Tajik Capital’s Day (third Saturday of April) and the Day of Unity and National Accord (June 27) and Tajikistan’s Independence Day (September 9), Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said.  

According to the spokesman, prize money of 3,000 somonis will be given for the best project on illumination of buildings in Dushanbe.  Besides, 5,000 somonis in prize money will be given for the best project to improve of the aesthetic appearance of the city with the most successful use of the national symbolic (crown).
