The body of the First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of “Orienbank”, Shukhrat Ismatullayev, who was abducted on June 23, was found in Penjikent. This was announced by the Prosecutor General of Tajikistan Yusuf Rahmon at a press conference today.

According to him, the body was found on a small island in the middle of the river in Sarazm two days ago.

"His identity was established by the conclusion of the dentist who treated his teeth. Other examinations have been appointed to establish the identity, detailed information will be provided in the coming days," the prosecutor said.

Recall that Shukhrat Ismatulloev was abducted on the evening of June 23 by a criminal group created by Dilshod Saidmurodov. They took him to the village of Shodob-1 and tortured him with a stun gun and other means, as a result of which Ismatulloev died. After that, in order to conceal the crime, the body of the murdered man and the car were thrown into the Zarafshan River at 130th kilometer of the Dushanbe-Chanak highway.

Meanwhile, today at a press conference it was reported that the search for the body of the teacher of the Tajik State Commercial University Ismoiljon Rakhmonov is still ongoing.

Rakhmonov was abducted on June 12 by the head of the Department of Analytics, Planning and International Relations of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, police Lieutenant Colonel Akmal Yusufzoda and his accomplice Ismoiljon Shukurov. At 118 km of Dushanbe–Khujand highway, they tied his hands and threw him into the Fondaryo River.

The main version of the abduction is jealousy: the lieutenant colonel's wife worked with the missing teacher.

Currently, Yusufzoda and Shukurov have been arrested.
