The President of Tajikistan today, as part of his working visit to the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, took part in the opening of a number of industrial facilities in Darvaz, the press service of the head of state reports.
With the participation of the president, an enterprise for the production of pasta LLC "Ratel Pasta" was opened in the Darvaz district.
At the new industrial enterprise, more than 10 types of pasta of various shapes are made from wheat and flour of the highest quality, packed in bags from 450 to 900 grams.
The production capacity of the enterprise is 3.6 tons of pasta per day.
The company has the ability to produce 75.6 tons of pasta per month and almost 1,000 tons per year, the press service of the president notes.
The President also launched the work of the enterprise for the production of dry building mixes and paints LLC "Shimsho", built by entrepreneur Samandar Sunnatzoda in the Durobak village in the township of Kalai-Humb.
The production capacity of the enterprise is 8 tons of dry building mixes and 700 liters of decorative paints per hour. The technological lines were delivered to the enterprise from China and will be managed by Tajik specialists.
Raw materials (calcite, lime, gypsum and other chemical plants) come to prepositions from local mines. There is a laboratory here where specialists carefully check the quality of products using modern equipment, and then deliver it to the country's markets, the press service of the head of state notes.
The President was informed that 15 industrial enterprises are currently operating in Darvaz district. For 7 months of this year, industrial products worth 11 million 572 thousand somoni were produced in the district.
In Darvaz, the President also opened the "Musicians and Singers Square": here, at the main entrance of the Darvaz district, statues of People's Artist of Tajikistan Akasharif Juraev, Persian-Tajik musician Borbadi Marvazi and People's Hafiz of Tajikistan Abdullo Nazri were installed on the initiative of Emomali Rahmon.
Emomali Rahmon also commissioned a three-storey gymnasium No. 1 for gifted schoolchildren in Darvaz.
The facility is built on an area of 2,160 square meters, and is designed for 840 students.

The President also commissioned the building of the Executive Committee of the People's Democratic Party in the area and held a meeting with the activists of the district. A modern hotel "Darvoz Continental" was opened here with the participation of the President.

At a meeting with the asset of the district, the President reminded its population that in order to improve the well-being of the residents of Darvaz district, a Program of socio-economic development for 2021-2025 was developed and adopted, within which 108 projects totaling 405 million somoni are planned to be implemented. 34 planned projects have already been implemented.
Within two decades, the volume of agricultural production in Darvaz district increased from 9.9 million somoni in 2000 to 63 million somoni in 2022, that is, 6.3 times more.
During this period, potato production increased 2.6 times, vegetables — 4 times, fruits — 9 times and eggs — more than 21 times.
The volume of industrial production in the region from 5.4 million somoni in 1993 reached 32 million somoni in 2022, that means it increased 6 times, the share in the production of industrial products of the region increased from 8.7% in 1991 to 32% in 2022.
However, in six months of 2023, the industrial enterprises of the district produced products totaling 7.5 million somoni, which is 14 million somoni less, or 65%, compared to the same period last year, Emomali Rahmon stressed.
He instructed the leadership of the region and the district, together with the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, to determine the reasons for the decline in production at the industrial enterprises of the district, and take urgent measures to eliminate the current situation.
