DUSHANBE, July 27, Asia-Plus – One Tajik has been killed and another one has been injured in an attack in the city of Mytishchi, Moscow region.

According to information from the Tajik Embassy in Moscow, the incident took place in the local train Tuesday [July 25] late.  Several individuals attacked 31-year-old Hokimboy Sunnatulloyev and a 19-year-old Komron Zayniyev from Tajikistan and inflicted multiple stab on them, according to Muhammad Egamzod, press secretary of the Tajik Embassy in Moscow.  Hokimboy Sunnatulloyev died on the spot and Komron Zayniyev was taken to the hospital in Mytishchi.

Mr. Egamzod says the victims proved to be residents of the village of Yori in the Tajik northern district of Panjakent. 

“Tohir Ahmadov, the head of the Embassy’s consulate department, yesterday morning met with representative from the Mytishchi prosecutor’s office, who said that transportation prosecutor’s office “Moscow-Yaroslavskaya” is investigating into the matter,” Egamzod said, noting that the Tajik Embassy keeps up with the investigation process.

Muhammad Egamzod also noted that the Embassy had assumed the return of body of Hokimboy Sunnatulloyev to Tajikistan.   

Some Russian media report that after attack passengers got in tough with engine-driver and asked to stop the train and call police, while the engine-driver stopped the train only on the station and the assailants managed to flee.
