Profit made by Tajik Main Geological Administration in January-June 2006 exceeds last year’s indices by 58 percent

DUSAHNBE, July 26, Asia-Plus  — In January-June 2006, sub-divisions of Tajikistan’s Main Geological Administration “Geologiyai Tojik” have carried out various works at 28 facilities funded from the budget and 36 contractual facilities, Azim Ibrohim, Chairman of the Tajik Main Geological Administration, told journalists on July 25.

According to him, a profit maid from those works has amounted to some 30,000 Somonis, which is 58 percent or 18,936 Somonis more than in the first half-year o 2005. 

Mr. Ibrohim noted that over the first six months of this year, they have assimilated 343,900 Somonis of 385,000 Somonis originally planned.  

“In January-June of this year, “Geologiyai Tojik” has received only 237,000 Somonis, which is only 69 percent of the work done,” the main Geological Administration chief stressed, pointing to the necessity of organizing at least quarterly receipt of money.  

“We have carried out work on contractual for more than one million Somonis,” Mr. Ibrohim said.
