Tajikistan will continue exporting goods to Afghanistan

Bahritdin Sirojiddinzoda mentioned that the creation of an export zone between Tajikistan and Afghanistan near the Panji Poyon border crossing point (BCP) is currently under discussion, aiming to improve trade relations between the two countries. This initiative is unrelated to official relations, as “exports must continue,” the Export Development Agency top manager emphasized.

"Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan also do not have official relations with Afghanistan but they have established trade relations and even opened their trade houses there.  This region allows us to export our products to Afghanistan and through it to Pakistan.  Afghanistan and Pakistan have taken on the responsibility of ensuring export security," said Sirojiddinzoda.

According to the Export Development Agency, the main export products from Tajikistan to Afghanistan include fruits and stone fruits such as pistachios, nuts, peppers, as well as seeds, chicken eggs, and coal.
