From July 23 to 25, traffic will be temporarily restricted on several streets in Tajikistan’s capital, Dushanbe, the city’s Police Department Ministry reported.

On July 23, traffic will be halted from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM on M. Mastongulov Street, A. Donish Street, Sadriddin Ayni Street, and Roudaki Avenue.

On July 24, restrictions will be in place on Roudaki and Ismoili Somoni Avenues, as well as on Tehran and Sheroz Streets.

On July 25, temporary closures will affect Roudaki Avenue, Sadriddin Ayni Street towards Vahdat township, and in the evening, traffic will be restricted from the Chorbogh checkpoint to the Varzob district.

The restrictions will be enforced at various times throughout the day.

The Dushanbe police are advising drivers and residents to use alternative routes and avoid parking on the affected streets.

The traffic restrictions are in place due to the upcoming state visit of Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh to Tajikistan from July 23 to 26.  During the visit, high-level meetings and the signing of bilateral cooperation agreements will take place.
