An investigation into a criminal case against blogger Daler Bobiev (Imomali) has been completed, which will be sent to court for consideration in the coming days. This was announced on September 20 by the NGO Independent Center for the Protection of Human Rights on its website.
According to the lawyer Abdurakhmon Sharipov, on September 15, he and his second lawyer Sadullo Kayumzoda were invited to the prosecutor's office of the Shohmansur district of the capital.
«We were told that the preliminary investigation into the criminal case of Daler Bobiev had been completed and that he would be finally charged, – says Sharipov.
– On the same day, in the presence of lawyers in the pre-trial detention center No. 1 of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan for the city of Dushanbe, Daler Bobiev was informed that in the course of additional investigative actions, the amount of income from illegal entrepreneurial activity (blogging) received by him and giving grounds to reclassify his act from part one to part two of Article 259 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan».
It is noted that on September 15, Bobiev was finally charged with committing crimes under Part 1 of Article 346; Part 2 of Article 259 and Part 2 of Article 307(3) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan. On the same day, the blogger, in the presence of lawyers, got acquainted with the materials of the criminal case.
Investigators of the prosecutor's office of the Shokhmansur district announced to Daler Bobiev that after the indictment was drawn up, the criminal case would be sent to court for consideration on the merits.
