KULOB, February 13, Asia-Plus — A seven-day sports and athletics meeting among schoolchildren in Kulob ended on Saturday February 11.
Safar Muminov, head of the Kulob Committee for Sports and Physical Training, has told Asia-Plus that local schools competed with each other in seven kinds of sports for the right to represent Kulob in the regional competitions.
This year, 562 schoolchildren, including 96 girls, have taken part in the sports and athletics meeting (last year, 412 schoolchildren took part in the competitions). Pupils from School No 6 won the competitions.
