DUSHANBE, March 10, 2009, Asia-Plus — A group of senior representatives from Russia’s Federal Migration Service (FMS) are arriving in Dushanbe today evening for a three-day working visit, according to the migrations service within the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
The purpose of the visit is for the FMS delegation to discuss with Tajik authorities issues related to implementation of interstate labor migration projects and organization of joint work to regulate migration process, the source at the MoI migrations service said.
The FMS representatives will hold talks with their Tajik colleagues to discuss provision of Tajik labor migrants with work in the Russian Federation. Besides, a roundtable meeting formally titled “Activity of Economic Entities of Tajikistan and Organized Recruitment of Tajik Labor Migrants for Working in Russia” is expected to be held in Dushanbe on the sidelines of the visit, the source said.
During their stay in Dushanbe, the FMS representatives will also visit a number of vocational-technical schools that have organized training courses for labor migrants.
