DUSHANBE, March 29, Asia-Plus — International conference formally titled “Civilization Factor in the Middle East: Experience of Historical Mutual Interaction” will be held at Russian-Tajik Slavic University (RTSU) in Dushanbe on March 30.  

According to information from RTSU, the conference is timed to coincide with the 10

th

anniversary of the establishment of the University and staged by RTSU’s Center for Geopolitical Studies and Scientific Department under support of the Russian Embassy in Dushanbe. 

Participants at the conference are aiming to consider dialogue of cultures in the Middle East as foundation of peaceful co-existence as well as to hear paper “Russia Is Successive Protector of Islam” and discuss issues related to the problem of new information technologies and preservation of cultural heritage.   

 The conference participants are expected to include representatives from the Russian Embassy, international organizations, Tajikistan’s National Academy of Sciences, experts and teaching staff of RTSU.
