The flight route Mashhad — Dushanbe — Mashhad, which was temporarily stopped with the onset of the war between the US/Israel and Iran, will be resumed. This was reported by the Iranian airline Varesh Airlines (“Varesh”).

The first flight from Mashhad to Dushanbe after the break is scheduled by the carrier to take place on Friday, April 24.

“The flight departs on April 24 at 10:00 Tehran time and arrives at Dushanbe International Airport at 13:00 Tajikistan time. In the opposite direction, it departs at 14:30 Dushanbe time and lands in Mashhad at 14:30 Iran time,” the source explained.

For now, flights will only be operated on the Mashhad — Dushanbe route and back. When flights from Tehran to Dushanbe will be resumed is still unknown.

Tajikistan’s privately-owned air carrier Somon Air, which operated flights from Dushanbe to Tehran and back and temporarily suspended them after the start of the war in the Middle East, stated that flights on this route have not yet been resumed.

It should be noted that flights between Tajikistan and Iran were suspended on February 28 — after the US and Israel’s attack on Iran. The hostilities, which affected almost all countries in the Middle East, continued until April 8, when US President Donald Trump announced a two-week truce. On April 21, this truce was extended to allow for diplomatic resolution of the conflict. How long it will last remains uncertain.
