DUSHANBE, November 15, 2010, Asia-Plus — Aleksandr Kapnin has been appointed new Russian General Consul in Khujand, replacing Azim Yarakhmetov.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Yuri Popov introduced new Russian General Consul to Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi at the end of last week.
In the course of the talks, the Tajik foreign minister and the Russian ambassador also discussed the agenda of the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member nations that is scheduled to take place in Dushanbe from November 24-25 this year, the source said.
