DUSHANBE, October 5, 2010, Asia-Plus  — The municipal redevelopment plan that includes construction of modern buildings in the capital city was the focus of an enlarged meeting of the Dushanbe mayor’s office that took place on October 4.

The meeting participants included senior representatives from the municipal government and a number of foreign planning and construction organizations, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office, said.

Speaking at the meeting, Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev underlined the necessity of putting the facilities under construction in commission in time and expressed gratitude to construction companies for reduction of dwelling prices in Dushanbe.

The mayor noted that the municipal authorities planned to provide tax remissions to the companies engaged in construction of apartment buildings in the city.

More than 100 facilities are expected to be put in commission in the tajik capital on occasion of the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence that will be celebrated on September 9, 2011, the spokesman said.
