DUSHANBE, August 5, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Two railroad conductors working for Tajik Railways have been detained on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking, the Customs Service reports.

Package containing narcotic drug tested positive to heroin weighing some one kilogram was found hidden in one of carriages of the Dushanbe-Moscow that was being made ready for dispatch, the source said.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained conductors and an investigation is under way.
