KHUJAND, August 3, 2010, Asia-Plus — Mirzozafar Sharipov, an acting chief of the military registration and enlistment office in Spitamen district, Sughd province faces bribery charge.
According to the Sughd anticorruption directorate, Sharipov was caught red-handed when he was taking US$800 from local resident for preparing forged military service certificate for his son.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Mirzozafar Sharipov under the provisions of Article 319, Part (bribe taking) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code and an investigation is under way.
