Seminar to raise awareness of taxation issues among female entrepreneurs conducted in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, April 12, 2010, Asia-Plus  — A seminar formally titled “Development of Activities of Female Entrepreneurs through Raising Their Awareness of Taxation Issues” took place at the Tax Committee in Dushanbe at the end of last week.

Organized by the National Association of Business Women in Tajikistan, Kadbonou, the seminar brought together representatives from the Tax Committee, the National Association of Business Women, as well as female entrepreneurs from Dushanbe, Khujand, Qurghon Teppa, Vahdat and Roudaki, Hissar and Fayzobod districts.

The seminar participants, in particular, considered issues related to features of registration of legal and physical entities, taxation, collection of taxes under the simplified system, etc.

The main objective of the seminar was in raising awareness of taxation issues among local business women.  The seminar participants decided to conduct such seminars regularly in order to jointly discuss problems facing female entrepreneurs in the country and seek solution to these problems, the source at the Tax Committee said.
