MEI, Academy of Sciences to cooperate in introducing new technologies

DUSHANBE, April 7, 2010, Asia-Plus  — The Ministry of Energy and Industries (MEI) and the Academy of Sciences yesterday signed an agreement on cooperation in introducing scientific-technical achievements and new technologies in the country’s industrial sector, Tojinisso Azizova, a spokeswoman for a MEI, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

During the agreement-signing ceremony, the Minister of Energy and Industries Gul Sherali pointed out the significance of industry for socioeconomic development of the country and noted that one of priorities was introduction of scientific-technical achievements and new technologies for production of finished commodities from domestic raw materials.

Academician Mamadsho Ilolov, the President of the Academy of Sciences, for his part, noted that the research institutes would do all that is in their power to facilitate development of domestic industrial production.
