DUSHANBE, April 7, 2010, Asia-Plus — A meeting of the Dushanbe mayor’s office, presided over by Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev, was held on April 6.

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the mayor’s office, said the meeting considered issues related to the fire safety situation in Dushanbe’s organizations, enterprises and housing facilities.

The meeting also considered rational use of municipal facilities by tenants and the mayor asked  the Dushanbe anticorruption to inspect the leased municipal facilities.

Special attention was given to the sanitary and epidemiologic situation in the city, in particular the daily garbage disposal problems.  The Dushanbe department for environmental protection was charged to control implementation of that issue, the spokesman said.
