DUSHANBE, February 11, 2009, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon yesterday sent a telegram of congratulations to his Iranian counterpart, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, according to presidential press service.

In his message, Rahmon, in particular noted, “It is a great honor for me to congratulate through you the government and the people of friendly and fraternal Iran on the 30th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.”

“Achievements in providing worthy life for its nationals Iran has reached in recent years have promoted rise in an international authority of Iran.  Development of economy, stability and security in state, launch of national artificial satellite are evidence of this,” said the message, “Tajikistan attaches important significance to expansion of friendly and mutually beneficial relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

President Rahmon also expressed confidence that efficient use of potentials of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran would be for the welfare of both countries.
