A large trade and economic park “Dostuk” (“Friendship”) is planned to be built at the junction of the borders of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. The project was presented to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, on May 6 during his visit to the Batken region.

As reported by the press service of the Kyrgyz president, Japarov visited the stele of the same name, installed at the junction point of the three countries and opened on March 31, 2025, after which he familiarized himself with the master plan for the construction of the trade and economic park on the border territory of the neighboring countries.

The concept also includes the development of tourist infrastructure, the organization of international cultural events, ethnofestivals, and exhibitions. According to the project’s initiators, this will contribute to strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties and popularizing the historical heritage of the Great Silk Road.

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov emphasized the importance of strengthening good-neighborly relations between Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, noting the strategic significance of joint infrastructure and economic projects for the stability and sustainable development of Central Asia.

He also stated that the successful implementation of the international trade and economic park “Dostuk” is possible only with close cooperation among the three countries.

Japarov noted that the successful implementation of the park is possible only with close cooperation among Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. According to him, the project could become not only a major trade and investment platform but also a symbol of peace, trust, and unity among the peoples of Central Asia.
