According to him, ten main tourist companies of Tajikistan will take part at the International Tourism Exchange (ITB), which will be held in Berlin, Germany from March 10-15 2010. “Tajik companies will open their pavilions on an area of 44 square meters to provide information about their tourism programs and activities,” Fayzulloyev said, noting that ITB Berlin is a good forum for establishing new customer contacts.
Tajikistan participated at ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel and tourism fair, for the first time in 2008.
ITB Berlin is a prime meeting place, a marketplace, and a driving force behind the tourist industry. The exhibition area and various segments, along with the comprehensive congress program and supporting events represent the entire product spectrum of the tourist industry. At the same time, they form the basis for the development of new ideas, global approaches and targeted marketing.
With 10,000 exhibitors from 180 countries and regions, ITB represents the full spectrum of global tourism at all levels of the value added chain like tour operators, booking systems, travel destinations, airlines, hotels and rental cars. The exhibition has been held since 1986.
