DUSHANBE, October 13, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Tajik Aluminum Company (Talco) will be a general sponsor of athletes representing Tajikistan in international competitions within the next four years

An appropriate agreement was signed between the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Tajikistan and Talco on October 11, the head of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs Maliksho Nematov told reporters in Dushanbe on October 12.

Under this agreement, Talco will sponsor participation of Tajik athletes in international competitions in 2009-2012, Nematov said.  “Every year during this period, Talco will allocate some 500,000 U.S. dollars for training of Tajik athletes for international competitions, purchase of uniform and sports goods for them as well as for rehabilitation of sports grounds and halls,” he added.
