DUSHANBE, September 17, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Two persons were killed Wednesday night as two cars collided in Dushanbe, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).

The accident took place at the crossing of the Valamatzoda Street and the Roudaki Avenue at about 24:00.  “Nourllo Abdulloyev violated the traffic regulations and hit his Mercedes-Benz at Land Rover of Muhiddin Hoshimov,” said the source, “As a result of the collision, the Land Rover driver and his passenger were killed.”

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Nourullo Abdulloyev and an investigation is under way, the source noted.
