KHUJAND, August 24, 2009, Asia-Plus  — 129 of 236 industrial enterprises operating in the northern Sughd province have introduced two- and three-shift system, Sodiq Rustamov, the head of the Sughd energy and industries department said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

According to him, 75 other enterprises are still working in one shift and 22 other industrial enterprises are not in operation for different reasons.

“More than 20,230 peoples now work with functioning enterprises in the region,” Rustamov said.
