DUSHANBE, August 24, 2009, Asia-Plus  — A meeting to discuss issues related to extension of scales of aid to Tajikistan will be held in Dushanbe on August 25.

Organized by the UNDP CO Tajikistan in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MEDT), the meeting is held within the framework of the project, Extension of Scales of Assistance to Tajikistan for Achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs): Focus on Alternative Energy Resources and Access to Water, according to the UNDP Dushanbe Office.

The meeting participants will discuss the process of implementation of the project and issues related to integrated activity on construction of mini and small hydropower plants.  They will also consider issues related to rehabilitating the main social facilities, supporting development of small and medium-sized enterprises, creating new jobs, etc.
